Early Explorers
In February 2010, we launched a really exciting learning programme for children aged 3-5 years. Once a month, the centre is dedicated to our little scientists, who will have some fun taking part in learning activities that will include hands-on workshops, story-time and a sing-a-long! Over the year we will explore many things including the weather, solar system, musicality and the rest of the world around us (see schedule below for more details).
There will be two sessions on the day from 9.30am - 11am, and 1pm - 2.30pm. Cost per child is £4 (juice and biscuits included), or £4.20 (milk and fruit segments), with one adult free of charge per child (£7.25 thereafter). Our Infusion Coffee Shop will be open for adults to purchase coffee and cakes too!
If you would like to spend more time exploring the centre after the 90 minute session, adults pay full admission price, while no extra charge is required for the children attending the session.

2010 Schedule for Early Explorers:
Friday 27th August – Musical Marvels
Dance your way down to Dundee Science Centre for some fun sing-along stories! Learn about how we make music and how to shake to the rhythm! There'll be time to make your own musical instrument to take home.
Monday 20th and Wednesday 22nd September – Little Astronauts
ZOOOOOOM down to see us at Sensation to hear about astronauts and their travels in space! Learn about sunny days and dark nights, and do some spacey activities.
Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd November – The World Around Me
Come down to Sensation for story-time and a sing-along while you learn about the world around you. Come and dig for dinosaur bones and fossils in our big sand pit, you can also explore the centre and do some hands-on activities.
As part of Dundee Science Festival, there will be an extra special day of 'The world Around Me' on the 5th November.
Thursday 16th and Friday 17th December – Sensational Seasons
Brrrrrrr! Get your warm coats, gloves and scarf on! Come along for storytime and a sing-song and learn some frosty facts about winter!
One Small Step exhibition! Man’s journey to the stars through models, interactive exhibits and film.
