For all the teachers out there we have a unique Science in the City event just for you. This special Meet the Scientist day is on Tuesday 4th May, and allows you a 90 minute session to visit the centre, talk to the scientists, and even have time to explore the exhibition too!

The area's best and brightest scientists will donate their time and energy to explain the wonders of science to school students. Scientists will share information about the newest and coolest discoveries in life sciences, cell biology, human and primate behavior and computing.

Pupils can find out how scientists conduct research and what it takes to become a scientist. In this special event, researchers in cell biology, clinical research, zoology and applied computing shall have their own stand right here in Sensation! They will have different activities for you to try, they will conduct hands-on experiments with students and you can find out what it is really like to do their job!
Why not book your class in for one of our session, for this unique learning experience with scientists from the local area.

Price: Price is £3.50 per child, with places secured on first-come first-served basis. Sessions are:
9.30am – 11am
11.15am – 12.45pm
1pm – 2.30pm

There are 60 spaces per session, with travel funding available for your visit. Places and funding are strictly limited so do not hesitate to get booked in for this fantastic event!
